Murray Little
Grower and DirectorMurray started his cherry orchard ten years ago. From bare land, he developed it into 4.5 hectares of the finest cherries. Murray also has another block of eight hectares that he is developing with his nephew and fellow grower, Malcolm Little.
Apart from cherries, Murray’s other great passion is breeding standardbred horses, which are successfully competing in races around New Zealand. He is also working as a lawyer in Invercargill, where he lives. He has three children, two of them are living in Central Otago and one in Christchurch.
Murray believes that growing cherries is an investment and a challenge at the same time. He loves the satisfaction of producing quality crops that are enjoyed all around the world. He also likes working on the orchard during picking, as he gets to meet a lot of interesting people from all parts of the globe.
