Rex and Hilary Evans
Growers and DirectorsHillary and Rex Evans have farmed together for thirty-nine years. In that time they have handled deer, sheep and cows, before they moved to their dream property on Mt. Peel. Their 2,916 hectares are now located in the Hokonui Hills in beautiful Southland New Zealand, where they look after roughly 8500 ewes, 2200 hogget’s and 750 breeding cows.
Hillary and Rex started growing cherries five years ago, with their orchard spanning ten hectares of their property. Both are enjoying the challenges cherry growing brings and are excited about the huge demand for cherries around the world. Rex especially enjoys eating his fair bit and sharing them with his ten grandchildren.
Being part of Pure Pac Ltd is very exciting for both Hillary and Rex, as it means their cherries have a direct line to their customers which they believe benefits everyone.
